My experience working in Universal Studios Singapore

10th Dec 2011
headed down to scape with Desire, to give a try at the RWS walk-in interview.
we applied for Attractions Crew at Universal Studios.
took about an hour till our names were called to a 1-on-1 interview.
my interview lasted for about 15mins, talked quite alot.
after that, i got a hint that my application was successful, cuz i was given another set of documents and asked to head down for briefing regarding the job.
to my surprise, Both me and Desire got through!! thank god, cuz it's not that easy to get the chance to work in USS.
i was totally thrilled, i kept smiling the whole day! =)
next step, is to attend the Training/lecture on 3rd of jan 2012.


3rd Jan 2012
took the staff bus into RWS. reached at 8.30am for the training.
it was freaking DRAGGYYYYYY! the lecture lasted all the way till 6pm. solid. with just a 1hour lunch break. endure!



4th Jan 2012
once again reached at 8.30am.
got our staff pass and nametag today!!
agenda for today was half bonding activities and half lectures. still, it lasted till 6pm.
after that, took a walk around sentosa with desire to check out what renovations were made.
merlion walk completely changed, and guess what? FINALLY, sentosa has a KFC and Mcdonalds. yep u read it right.

5th Jan 2012
ORIENTATION DAY!!!
but have to go through the 3hour lecture first!
after that, our trainer took us to the park to familiarize with the area.
we got express privilege for Transformers! i swear, the ride was Fking awesome!
if u thought shrek4d was good, imagine 10 times better.
we rode Cylon after that, and had to head back to try out our uniforms.
the day ended at 5pm. and the park closes at 7pm. so.........
as staffs, we are allowed to enter the park for free at all times, so i went crazy with my colleagues for that 2 hours! haha.

6th jan 2012
last day of the boring lecture. it was draggy but manage to end at 4pm. once again, i've gone crazy enjoying in the park with my colleagues. rode transformers 6 times. heh.. rode all the other rides btw.


12th Jan 2012
first day of on job training! i'll be attached to Accelerator and Hollywood Theater for 6months. what? i'm in 2 attractions? when everyone else got one. i thought accelerator was a dumb attraction to work in. boy was i wrong!
it was the most relaxed and fun job ever! i wanna work permanent there if i could!
my supervisor trained me at the controls first. super fun pressing all the buttons and controlling the ride! =DD
after that he trained me as a "ride loader." it was really fun too, no stress.
just need to count the number of guest, then open the gates for them. after the ride just check the vehicles.
oh and guess what??
i bumped into 2 of my ex-colleagues working as the same attraction as me! of all places in singapore! still, 3 of my friends who trained with me are at the same attraction as well. i had no problems getting along with everyone here, including the supervisors.
my shift ended at 7.30pm on a high note, couldn't have asked for more. =')


14th jan 2011
2nd day of my on-job training. today i was supervised at the greeting area aka start of the queue line. so sunny and hot! but can tolerate, thanks to the design of our uniform. it's dry fit!
time passes too quickly today, and i didn't even noticed. staff cafeteria were serving different dishes today. afew choices to choose from, but they don't taste too good or bad, considering it's free. i was supposed to have my written and oral test on sunday, but my supervisor thought i was ready, so my manager came over to test me.
whoa, this manager was kind of irresponsible. halfway through the oral test she left. i understand, as cylon broke down and she had to attend to it. but the thing is, she came back 15mins later and continued. once again, she left halfway and came back 30mins later. yeah, it's not over. not long after she continued she left again, for an hour this time. wtf? so what? am i supposed to keep waiting?
when she was back it was 7pm. i'm leaving at 7.30. she didn't apologize and she didn't continue my test. i'll be kinda pissed if i have to do everything all over again tmr.
apart from this, i still enjoyed myself at work today :)
tmr, i'll be left alone to work without supervision. whooo, can't wait!
its really good to work in a place where u can enjoy urself at the same time. X)

Desire's BDay chalet and other updates

4th nov 2011
i went to dye my hair at the saloon immediately after my last exam!
i was 100% satisfied with the way the colour turns out.
went to meet KL, PS, Andreas and Lionel jalan2 after that, at orchard.


5th nov 2011
met up with KL, PS & KP at hougang mall.
main reason is to accompany me pierce my ear. haha.
the part that the stud went in wasn't painful, it was the 6-hour long pain i had to endure after that!
went to look for studs and ear-rings after that, and had icecream at mac =3


8th nov 2011 Desire's chalet
desire's 18th bday chalet at downtown east! staying over 3 days 2 nights there!
first nite was only me, kp, des, irwin, daniel. yes just 5 of us!
we had our own bbq that nite! loved it, no awkward moments at all, and nobody feels left out.
we took a midnight walk around the beach after that.
it was really comfortable to sleep in the night, as there were enough space on the beds.

9th nov 2011 Desire's chalet
today went shopping for bbq food and all again. i left at 1pm for dance in school and returned at 6pm. KL, PS, yi zhu and desiree's cousins all arrived.
desire's mum bought loads of beer. her mum and cousin insisted me on drinking, so i sipped afew cups.
eventually i got hooked on it, drank too much and got wasted. LOL! first time.
but i wasn't drunk! don't believe me? ask the people who was with me. heh heh =3
i could control myself fully, unlike "some funny action guy" who boast and got totally drunk and out of control during pl1001a class chalet.

10th nov 2011 desire's chalet
Hangover! really nasty headache. checked out of the chalet and reached home at 12pm.
went to bed immediately. oh, and my parents didn't know i was drinking last nite. shhhh! =X


13th and 20th nov
went to Bedok to train Taekwondo once again. i missed wearing my blackbelt gi, and i missed all my dear ones there. so good to see them! even though it's been nearly 3years, it still feels like home. finally seasoned my ear stud, and changed to a ring. (y)

Legally 18 now! :)

afew minutes before my birthday comes to an end.
so for the next few months, i HAVE TO promise myself to attend EVERY single class, and do my best for final year. God, pls be by my side.
i want to Dance Hard and Do my best in Music production.
i will join a solo competition next month.
i want to achieve something that i can be proud of. i never had. i will give it all in, no matter what obstacles there are.
i have to be strong, whether is it Family problems, Friendship or dance related. keep trying.
i know i will get there someday.

i guess i'm not part of it then. clearly indicates i don't have any room at all.
totally upset and disappointed. not even for a second u thought of me. not even once.
it's okay. i think i won't care anymore.
it always looked like i needed others than they needed me. i'm just a toy, a substitute. pick me up like a tissue, use and throw away after that. fucked up year.

F.E.D.C Hospice rehearsal

9 ppl out of 35 came for the rehearsal, and miss jill's not very pleased about it.
it seems like everyone has work or plans even when informed in advance.
well they blew their cover, they were actually going Jalan Raya together. i found out by accident and it's a secret. i don't want anyone come back at me.

despite that, i had a LOAD of fun!
after the rehearsal, Isk, Afiq, Haicurl, Ramnah and me went to orchard and jalan2.
spent the whole day with them.
hanging out with the few of them from D.C is enough for me. couldn't have asked for more. :)
URGH my back.. thanks to Zaihar's class ytd. but it was awesome X)

*i felt so leftout sometimes. i Know when i'm not needed.

College West Performance

just reach home!
damn it, i've made an obvious "off-beat" mistake on Azhar's choreo.
but it's over already. so yeah :(
we're the lucky ones, cause CW dancer's music got stuck halfway and was forced to forfeit the rest of their performance. dumb DJ.
before we left, i bought a load of snacks with the coupons X) ~heaven~
took the bus back to school with Ramnah and Haicurl.
after watching the video, i think F.E.D.C did well. but i'm still upset with the mistake i made T.T

Rehearsal at CW

had a bus service to bring us there today.
waited a long time for our turn to rehearse sial!
CW their dance performance is like so freaking long, nearly 20mins?? oh and saw Wei Zhang there, Dancing for College Central. i'm proud of him, making the right decisions. whatever he said about f.e.d.c was true uh. he dance for CC and he really get to feel belonged and he gets along with everybody there. he's positioned at the front most of the time. guess sometimes chances are not found internally right? have no choice but to outsource. he even get to represent CC to compete in a 4 day dance competition at Genting!

i'm so envious, he went to CC and got so much chances. when will i get my chance in f.e.d.c?
i've held on so many times. feel so fucked up about all the bias-ness here. get new ppl already forget the old ones (like me)
heart pain u know. imagine, I used to get selected for every song without a second thought. now they replace me with others. i feel so "used." yeah, guess they dun need me anymore. i feel so down everytime i walk into the studio :(

whole day alone sial during the rehearsal. everyone tak layan. thinking that i not selected for so many songs i feel even more left out.
so after that, i didn't wanted to hangout with them, so i took the charted bus back to school with afew others. yay, got to use the studio with Ramnah Lubie and Amirah. just the 4 of us.

then, headed to East point with lubie and ramnah to chill2, then headed to Pasir Ris with Ramnah. LOL. well, at least my day ended on a high note. so yep, that's it for today. i can't believe i'm like blogging everyday now =p


*i used to say this: "Chances are everywhere, it's whether u wanna open up to it. don't be predestined by others and keep in mind that you run your own world."
*i wish things will change in danceclub for me. =( if not, i might end up like Wei Zhang.
